Detroit remains No. 1 and Flint remain No. 3 in the nation for violent crimes among cities with a population of 100,000 or more.Nationwide, violent crimes were up 1.9 percent compared to 2005, and property crimes decreased by 1.9 percent, according to the FBI.
In Michigan the increase was 1.5 percent. Violent crimes in Detroit rose by 1 percent.
