Yummy!
To bad you can't have them!
There dog cookies!
My sissy gave me a dog cookbook and I tried it out. The cookies have honey, oats, peanut butter and beef bullion. Although next time I will leave out the beef bouillion because it's overpowering the whole cookie.
I gave the puppers a half of cookie and 20 minutes later Lance puked his up, I wonder if it's because of the buillion is so overpowering. I actually tried them and like I said, the buillion is way overpowering.
I was at a dog fair on saturday hawking my wares and Mr Weenie was home but in the basement working on it and when he came upstairs to come get me and stuff home he found this ...
Our beautiful, big Pear Tree (no fruit Pear Tree) was broke.
One of the main limbs cracked off during the high winds we were having, from what we can tell their was some wood rot going on due to sitting water in that spot of the tree.
And it just had to be the very front of the tree too, now we have a huge gaping hole in it.
I am sad
The state numbers just came out for May and the politicians are lauding the fact that the number of people on unemployment have dropped, the first time since January.
But they are not telling the whole story ...
The report shows that job losses are easing after companies made deep cuts earlier this year. But nearly half of recipients at the end of last month had exhausted the 26 weeks of benefits provided under the regular state program without finding work, according to Labor Department data.
And ...
Still, millions of Americans are receiving unemployment compensation under an emergency federal program authorized by Congress last summer and extended by the Obama administration's stimulus package.About 2.4 million people received benefits under that program in the week ending May 30, an increase of more than 102,000 from the previous week. That's in addition to the 6.7 million people receiving benefits under the 26-week program typically provided by states.
So while the number of people on the normal 26 week unemployment compensation have "dropped" the number of people now on the extension is getting bigger. Those people are NOT included in the unemployment numbers, neither are the people who have dropped off the unemployment compensation rolls.
So while the offical national number is 9.4%, the real total is much higher.
To offically claim a drop in unemployment the first time claims number is the one that needs to fall, and for May it went up slightly.
Oh and Michigan came in at 14.1%, that is up quite a bit from April's number of 13.6%.
Ah the ambitions of the newly unemployed are going to drive me to drink.
Mr Weenie declared at dinner that he plans on getting up at 7am everyday, walking the dogs and listed the many projects he plans on completing.
7am? You have got to be kidding me, I don't get up until 8-8:30 now a days and walking the dogs is the only way to motivate me to get any exercise.
I was that ambitious about things the first 2 months also, then reality and winter set in and now I am just a pessimistic bitch.
He is ruining my days already and has only been unemployed for less then 3 hours.
Gah ....
Mr Weenie just got word today and unless something changes between now and Friday he will be losing his job on Friday.
19 years with Ford gone because some asswipe of a Manager has aspirations and thinks he will get somewhere in the company by getting rid of Ford's Prototype workers and out sourcing all the work to Roush.
I don't know WTF we are going to do.
We left Friday evening, the Iggy 500 was Saturday. We left saturday evening to go home.
Fun was had by all!
Lance and Maggie surprised us by how much they played with the other puppers there.
The costume contests was fixed, we didn't even make the final four (there were only 8 entrys). The other costumes were not all that great, some where even store bought. The finalist were all heavily involved in Indiana rescue, people were coming up to me and saying they couldn't beleive we didn't make it to the finals.
