Exerts From The Press Conference

"Strengthening the leadership of Ford Motor Co….was a priority of mine," said Chairman Ford, during a Tuesday afternoon news conference called to provide details of the unexpected announcement. But this guy is already on the wrong foot with the workers of the company because of this:

One thing apparently isn't going to be transferred from Boeing headquarters to Ford's "Glass House" in the Detroit suburbs. Mulally conceded that he has been driving a Lexus LS430 sedan. Would that be a company car he's getting? LOL. I feel kinda sorry for him - since he's not already driving a Ford it doesn't sound too good. But it is funny. Now I wonder if he'll concentrate on getting the luxury end vehicles up there to match Lexus. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, the guy outta know better. Hell, when I was calling on the car mfgers we KNEW...callin' on Chrysler? Drive a Chrysler to the call. Ford? Yep, same thing. Even when I had to go down to Toyota in KY - I had to rent a Toyota. Tryin' to fit into that was a hoot and a holler.

Yep, he better be trading that car in real quick!!
