Quality Weenie Family Vacation

It's that time again folks, the planning of the Weenie family vacation.

This year we will be exploring the beaches and history of The Outer Banks in North Carolina!

We have reservations at a Bed & Breakfast that is right on the ocean, nice breath taking views and a good breakfast to wake up to.

This year we get to see how North Carolina celebrates Independance Day. Most of this vacation will be spent relaxing on the beach as we haven't had a beach vacation in 9 years. We also plan on exploring some Lighthouses and the Wright Brothers area.

Anyone (Ogre) have any suggestions for things to do in The Outer Banks area or good restaurants to eat at?

Well, since you're on the ocean, you could try fishing. Oh, and I've heard the fishing is good there. A pal of mine said he went fishing last time he was there. And have you thought about fishing?

I think you're going to have to go fishing.

I've never been that far north on the NC coast, usually I go fishing down near Cape Fear. But I hear the fishing is good up there.

So the only thing I know that anyone even GOES to the Outer Banks is for fishing.

Are you taking a fishing pole? A Moose bit my sister once...

Um, yea, Ogre

Fishing would require a boat and water.

Um, boats and water don't mix with the weenie family.

The only type of fishing we do is ordering it at a restuarant. That is the closest we come to fishing.

Well, since boats and water don't mix, you could try fishing off a fishing pier. I've seen some nice fish caught while angling from a fishing pier.

Outer Banks... cool. Head south... sucks. Until you get down by Surf City and such. And, as Ogre could tell you, they fish all along there... it's a good area to fish.

People, people, people ... did you not read my 6 Weird habits about me post?

Fishing involves worms .... worms and I don't mix more than water, boats and I don't mix.

Oh, I LOVE the Outer Banks!

I can't remember any specific places. But if you happen to travel through Swansboro on your way there or home, there is a restaurant right on the water called the Gourmet Cafe. Very very yummy!! And beautiful!

I'm very jealous right now!
