Outdoor Pictures

I mentioned back in June that the Bradford Pear tree in front of our house lost a huge branch from it, eccentially 1/3 of the tree was gone.

Well a couple weeks ago we had a high wind thunderstorm move through and took another 1/3 of the tree with it. So now the tree is going to need to be removed, sucks because it was a beautiful tree.

Poor tree! Can't it be pruned? You have a beautiful home!

Nope can't be pruned. It's got a lot of wood rot, hence the reason it keeps snapping branches.

The tree has to come out before the snow flys because one good ice storm and the whole thing is coming down, probably on the house. Not a good thing to happen during the winter.

poor pear aside, very pretty curb appeal :)

Will you be replacing it? (I hate losing trees. We're still facing the slow loss of several trees damaged by Hurricane Ivan back in '04).

Mrs Who - Yes, we will be replacing the tree. We have been wanting to add several trees to our backyard, so this forces us to do that since that tree will need to be removed by a professional.
