Another Chapter Of: If We Didn't Have Bad Luck ...

Just when you think the hole can't get any deeper someone comes along with a better shovel.

Last week Maggie started grinding her teeth against each other when she would yawn and close her mouth, yesterday when she yawned it looked like her jaw might have gotten hung up when closing.

So off to the vet we go this morning.

The vet couldn't see anything blaringly wrong with her teeth by looking the best he could with a dog unwillingly having it's mouth held open.

He did notice a couple of red spots at the back of her throat. I noticed those a couple weeks ago and maybe thought they were scratches from an erant Bully stick.

He also said her lymph nodes were swelling. So we are starting with a batch of antibiotics to see if that does the trick. If it doesn't then they will have to put her under to get a better look at her jaw and throat.

Both Lance and Maggie's allegies have been really bothering them lately, so I am hoping it's just a case of really bad allergies.

My poor Baby Maggie.

I shall get Bingo, Ming the Merciless and Cochise' Apache Princess together tonight and we'll say a prayer for Maggie.

Of course the only way to get all three of them sitting together is with treats. So there will be some question of whether they are praying for Maggie or for Beggin' Strip but I'm trying!

Poor baby...and it is just like having a baby 'cause they can't tell you what's wrong. And so nerve-wracking for Mama...I'll ask St. Francis to put in a good word for Maggie.

Gus, Fiona, and I are all hoping Miss Maggie feels better very soon.

A little late, but my prayers are added as well.
