Consumer Reports annual car reliability survey is out and Ford was deemed the best domestic brand.
Ford Motor Co. builds the most reliable American-brand cars and trucks. So said Consumer Reports, in its respected Annual Car Reliability Survey, which was released Thursday during an Automotive Press Association luncheon in downtown Detroit. "Ford is doing exceptionally well," David Champion, the senior director of Consumer Reports' Auto Test Division, said during a presentation at the Detroit Athletic Club. "Nearly all Fords are average or above," he said.
And the money shots that made my freaking day?
"They are extremely close to Toyota and Honda.""Ford's reliability is now on par with good Japanese automakers," the December magazine says
The Ford Fusion is on the cover of the magazine!

Posted by: pam at October 28, 2008 10:17 AMHmmmmm - I take it you are a Ford person? :)
Not to put a damper on the parade, but is this only 08 and 09 models? My husband is a mechanic and he tells me Ford is NOT good. Their parts are expensive and their engineering is backwards. I had a Ford and it was horrible. I now own a Honda. MUCH better. I hope this is true because I would much rather own a domestic vehicle than a foreign one.
