Best Thing About Me?

Blogdaddy's Beloved asked the question "What Do You Like Best About Yourself"?

So what is the best thing about being a Quality Weenie?

The ability to learn things quickly.

I have self taught myself Excel and Access, and I am pretty much an expert with Excel and have made several database programs in Access that are being used at work.

So what is the best thing about being you?

Family, You Can't Live With Them ...

Drama Queens thrive in my family, and there were many Oscar winning performances put on Christmas Day.

A small bruise on the ankle becomes a nearly severed foot, a small dog piddle puddle becomes poisonous contamination that could kill everyone present, a forgotten present becomes a total snubb of one family to another family.

Oy Vey!

I must have been a very good girl all year because I not only got a set of steak knives but also a blockset from Wusthof from my hubby. His brownie points shot up on sunday. I had mentioned 2 months ago that we needed either new knives or a knive sharpener and he remembered I said that and got me a knife set.

The puppies got me new slippers, how thoughtful especially since mine were on their last legs.

We also got the new George Formen Grill (removeable plates), a Sleep sound machine and some dog books.

Oh and huge basket of goodies from Cheryl and Company

The puppies made out with gifts. They got sweaters, hoodies, chew toys, reindeer antlers (pictures forth coming) and a gift certificate for a Doggie Day Care and Grooming center.

I Think I Need Some Alcohol

I tried and tried, doing it over and over again. Hoping this time it would work. Crossing my fingers and toes, praying it would happen. I was becoming impatient and worried, I couldn't go 10 days without it.

My freaking internet service wouldn't allow me to connect, kept telling me to check my user id and password. I get my service through Eastern Mich Univeristy, it's free. Eastern is closed until Jan 6th for the Holiday Break. I was freaking out. I've been trying for 3 days to connect.

Finally I got connection. I was going through withdrawals.

We are definately getting something better after the Holidays.

Christmas Movie Meme

So Oddy tagged me with the latest meme making it round the sphere.

I am suppose to name 5 Christmas movies that move me.

So here they are, 5 Christmas movies that have moved me in no particular order.

The Year Without a Santa Claus - How can you not like the Heat and Cold Miser dudes, sons of Mother Nature. Bought the DVD this year and have watched it many, many times already.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer - I love the Misfit Island toys. I could identify with them in my younger years.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas - The original, cartoon one. Just got to love the mushy, warm fuzzy feeling it gives you when the Grinch realizes he does have a heart.

Charlie Brown Christmas - Gotta love the Peanuts!

It's a Wonderful Life - Total Christmas Classic, it's not Christmas without watching this one a couple of times.

So who am I going to tag? Hmmm, lets see ... ah, it's christmas I will let it slide this time.

My Puppies Are Going to Need Therapy

I use to have one of those ceramic ducks with all the outfits but I gave it away when we moved.

I was going through some christmas stuff over the weekend and happen to find one outfit, a reindeer.

It looked like it would fit the puppies ....

So I tried it on one of them ....

Ya, there going to need therapy .... real soon

I Wish

This meme has been all over the blogosphere so I am jumping on the wagon.

The rules? Quite simple:

1. Finish the sentence: "I wish I ..." - - Basically, pretend you had up to three wishes to change something about you. A restriction is that cannot wish to change someone else. For example, you can say; "I wish I weighed 30 pounds less." But this wish is not for this meme; "I wish my spouse weighed 30 pounds less." 2. If you are reading this, you are "tagged" with this meme.

So what do I wish for?

1 - That my puppies would learn to poop where they are suppose to poop and not in the house.

2 - My motivation would come back, it's missing and I can't find it any where.

3 - No more snow, (8 inches yesterday) for the entire winter.

Today in Automotive History

1949 Swedish Carmaker Debuts

A Swedish company by the name of Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolaget produced its first motorcar. In 1965, the concern changed its name to Saab Aktiebolag, and a few years later simply to Saab. The first Saab automobiles were engineered with the precision of fighter planes--the company's other main product. Today Saab is known for producing safe, reliable, high-performing vehicles. In 1990, General Motors bought Saab's car operations, excluding its bus, truck, and military jet businesses. Ten years later, GM acquired the rest of Saab's automotive operations.

Oh Canada, We Stand On Guard for Thee

Barely enough time to go through my emails from being in O-HI-O Thursday and Friday and they are sending me off again.

It's wonderful to be so needed (/sarcasm off)

This time I travel to the Great White North, eh. I'm off to somewhere in Ontario, Canada, hope somebody tells me the city before I leave.

So I will (hopefully) be back on Thursday, hopefully no snow storms this time.

5 Habits

So I am sitting here at work, on a saturday morning, early no less trying to finish my school project (I need a fast scanner) and I check my email I get tagged for this habit meme thingy, from my blogmomma Tammi no less.

It's bad enough that I had to spend 2 days in cornfields Ohio and whether a blizzard while there (7 inches of the white stuff).

So anyway, here are my habits.

1) When calling someone I say my relation to them and then my name. For example: Cousin Quality Weenie, Daughter Quality Weenie, Friend from College Quality Weenie, etc.

2) Like my blogmomma Tammi, I play with my hair when I am nervous. Except I run my fingers through it and with a perm I end up with a frizzy mess.

3) Pick at my lips when I am bored.

4) Sing when I am at home, alone, making up the words as I go along. The puppies enjoy it because they are usually about them.

5) I use the word "thingy" way to much. I use it at home, work, in conversations with people I know and people I don't know.

So there they are, 5 of my habits.

Now I get to tag some people, almost everyone is tagged but I will think of someones.

Lets see I think I will tag Grau from Frizzen Sparks cause I've never tagged him before, GA Mongrel for the same reason. Pete from Shakey Pete's Shooting Shack because I bet he has some real good habits. Gebiv from There's One, Only because he never gets tagged. And Sticks from Chaos to Serendipity

Who To Pick

Green Bay is playing the Detroit Lions this week in football.

A worse quandry I've never seen.

Who does one pick in this situation?

I mean really? I think a worse game you will not see, ever.

Will it be a low scoring game because neither has actually seen the end zone this year or will it be a high scoring game because neither has any defense.

Today in Automotive History

1932 Ford Model C And V-8 Introduced

The first Ford Model C automobile was introduced on this day in 1932. It boasted the first four-cylinder engine made by Ford with a counter-balanced crankshaft. The Model C was largely eclipsed, however, by Ford's other 1932 offering: the Ford V-8. The V-8 was the first eight-cylinder Ford automobile, and boasted the first V-8 engine block ever cast in a single piece. The V-8 sold well, but Ford's fortunes had fallen from their peak. The one-time industry giant was trailing General Motors and Chrysler in sales.
